The Community Foundation of Chaves County presented the Roswell Literacy Council with a $130 grant recently to purchase a series of books to be used in their adult literacy program.
The Roswell Literacy Council’s mission is “dedicated to literacy development (listening, speaking, reading, thinking and writing) for adults over the age of 16 and out of school in Chaves County with trained volunteer tutors.”
The Community Foundation of Chaves County’s grant program supports community development, health and human services, arts and humanities, and other non-profit organizations’ projects designed to improve the quality of life in Chaves County.
