When: October 17 & 18, 2009

Where: Sierra Blanca Regional Airport, Ruidoso, NM

Don't miss one of the most exciting weekends in Ruidoso, NM. The first annual Mountain High Fly-In at Sierra Blanca Airport has some 300 private planes expected to fly in for the two day event, not to mention a German Air Force Tornado. The event is open to the public, free of charge, with a pancake breakfast Saturday morning at 8:00 AM. There will be demonstrations and displays all day, ending with a hotdog dinner at 5:00 PM. There will be flour bombs and contests both Saturday and Sunday.

This is a first annual event. Justin King, Airport Manager, and Deiter Gerth, are working very hard to make this an exciting, fun filled event for the entire family. One of the goals of the fly-in is to educate the public from the pilots to the aircraft and aviational equipment they use in their occupation, and to promote an interest in young people to consider aeronautics as a career choice. You will not want to miss seeing vintage planes as well as the awesome Tornado. Let's support our airport personnel in this endeavor
